Helping children discover God’s love and grow in faith
At Waypoint Church, we believe children are a valued and important part of our church family. Waypoint Kids is a place where children aged 4–12 can learn about God, build friendships and grow in their understanding of what it means to follow Jesus.
Our desire is to create a safe, welcoming and caring environment where children are encouraged to look out for one another, learn kindness, share generously and discover the joy of serving others.
Through Bible teaching, prayer, games and creative activities, we help children explore the big story of the Bible — from creation onwards — discovering God’s plan and the need for a Saviour, fulfilled perfectly through Jesus.
We also learn from the lives of different people throughout the Bible, seeing how their experiences point us towards God’s character, His faithfulness and His love for us.
At Waypoint Church, we believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that it has the power to speak into every child’s life. Our heart is not simply for children to know Bible stories, but to know the God behind them and understand that they are deeply loved by Him.
Children join with the whole church family for worship at the beginning of our Sunday gathering. We believe it is important for children to experience being part of the wider church community as we worship God together.
They then continue their time in Waypoint Kids, where teaching and activities are designed especially for them in a fun, engaging and age-appropriate way.
Everything we do is centred on helping children understand who Jesus is, how much God loves them, and encouraging them to develop their own personal relationship with Him.
