Seeking God together
At Waypoint Church, prayer is at the foundation of who we are. We believe prayer is not simply something we do — it is an essential part of our relationship with God and the way we seek His guidance, strength and presence in every area of life.
Throughout the Bible, we see the importance and power of prayer. The early church was built on a commitment to seeking God together:
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”
Acts 2:42
Jesus Himself showed us the importance of spending time with the Father. Through His life and teaching, we see that prayer is an invitation to draw close to God, bringing our worship, our needs, our concerns and our thankfulness before Him.
Prayer reminds us that we are dependent on God. It strengthens our faith, shapes our hearts and helps us align our lives with His purpose.
We believe prayer is both a privilege and an important part of the life of every follower of Jesus. Throughout history, God has worked powerfully through people who have faithfully sought Him in prayer, and we continue to believe that prayer changes lives, strengthens the church and impacts the world around us.
At Waypoint Church, we make space to pray together regularly — for one another, our community, our world and for God’s will to be done.
