Putting Jesus at the centre of everything we do
At Waypoint Church, worship is at the heart of who we are. It is more than the songs we sing — it is our response to who God is, what He has done, and the relationship we have with Him through Jesus.
When we gather together, we set aside time to praise and worship the Lord, lifting our focus from ourselves and giving honour to the One who is worthy of our love and devotion.
We believe the Bible teaches us that our first priority is to love God with all that we are. Jesus reminds us of this when He was asked:
“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”
“This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’”

As we grow in our relationship with Jesus, our worship shapes the way we live. A heart focused on God naturally overflows into love, compassion and service towards others.
We believe worship involves the whole of who we are — heart, mind, body and spirit. Whether through music, prayer, creativity, serving, or the everyday choices we make, our desire is to honour God in every part of our lives.
The Bible encourages us to worship with joy and thankfulness:
“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.”
Psalm 150:6
At Waypoint Church, we love to express our praise and gratitude to God as a church family, celebrating His goodness and making space to encounter His presence together.
